PRIVACY

What data this site collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Last updated: 4 August 2026

Who is responsible

This website is owned and operated by Andrea Iannarone (Italy), the data controller for any personal data processed here. For any question about this policy or your data, write to hello@andreaiannarone.com.

What data is collected

Contact form. When you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you type are processed in order to read and reply to your request. Nothing else is requested and no additional profile is built around it.

Technical logs. The hosting provider records standard server data (IP address, timestamp, user agent) needed to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse, such as the basic rate limiting applied to the contact form.

Analytics. If, and only if, you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects aggregated usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser) with IP anonymisation enabled. Advertising and profiling features are switched off, and nothing is loaded before your consent. Details in the Cookie Policy.

Legal basis and retention

Messages sent through the contact form are processed on the basis of your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and my legitimate interest in answering it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are kept only as long as the related conversation is relevant, and deleted afterwards.

Technical logs are kept for a limited period by the hosting provider for security and troubleshooting purposes.

Who else processes the data

The site is hosted on Vercel, and contact form messages are delivered by an email service provider. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Ireland Ltd. also processes usage data as described above. These providers act as data processors and may store data on servers inside or outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards required by the GDPR. For transfers to the United States, on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your data is never sold and never shared for marketing purposes.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, the restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@andreaiannarone.com and I will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
